Nardil has been far from great this time around. Maybe it was using 125 mg of B6 that stopped it from working, but since stopping B6 it feels worse.
Now I have side effects of urinary retention, insomnia (waking up like 5 times in the night which I NEVER HAVE on 45 mg ever), over active reflexes.
I know Nardil can deplete riboflavin and B6 fairly well. Can a mild deficiency in either of these slow my metabolism and increase the drug potency?
I'm so close to giving up on Nardil because I've had shivers for like 40 days straight now that I can't get rid of. Again, I'm not physically cold (hands/feet/body) I just have shivers.
Getting back my B6 test today and then in a week I'm getting thiamin, folate, B12, mononuc test (which is impossible) and a CBC.
The only thing Nardil is really doing for me atm is keeping me out of major depression.
By this point I should be in mild depression, my mild agoraphobia issues should be greatly alleviated, I should sleep well and have 70% less anxiety. But it's not.

BTW, the reason I talk about a slower metabolism is because those new side effects are ALL 60 mg + side effects.
I was on 60 mg last time and it was like that. I was on 45 mg last time (and this time) and the only side effect I should have is constipation and mild insomnia (not major)

Please let us know how the B6 test comes back as I also take B6 not with nardil but since I lowered to 100mg find internal quivering of muscles of legs unless moving about. Phillipa

Yeah so on a range of 30-90 it came back 370 after using 50-125 mg for a month.
I'd definitely consider stopping the B6 at 200 mg because if my levels are this high after a month I'm not sure what yours would be.
I think coming off it can cause withdrawal though so maybe ween off of it? I really am not sure. Going to start researching now that I know my B6 is way of over the limits.

but why though, I just said my B6 levels were super elevated which destroys Nardil according to many users on this forum
Insomnia, urinary retention, mood/anxiety and fatigue are also all caused by B6 toxicity which I think is what I have since my levels are 4 times over the limit. Plus not to mention the shivers aren't listed as a nardil side effect.
Not to mention I have history of nardil working great, it's just this time I used B6 way more than I should've
