I REALLY want stelazine. I heard 1-2 mg works amazingly well for nausea and anxiety. I've head TD and EPS symptoms hardly ever arise on 1-2 mg and that it's such a week dose that if you come off of it, most likely they can reverse if you take an anti-cholinergic.. or maybe it's a cholinergic med?
Anyways, I'm trying nortryp first with my Nardil, but I want stelazine as well. Anyone try it?

I think stelazine is the one I read about in a Stahl book, where it appeared stelazine had some similarities to amisulpride in terms of how the doses determined the mechanism, and better for depression than other APs. If I were to ever consider an old school AP for myself it would probably be stelazine.
In my own experiences, which are probably not the norm, I do better on very low doses of stuff than I do on normal doses or high doses.

stelazine? Really? Why not a high potency benzo? Or even maybe very low dose risperidone? Or maybe...I dunno...vistaril, lyrica, neurontin...anything...but...stelazine.
That said, it was once in a combo pill w/ parnate. Low dose, like 1mgs stelazine for every 10mgs parnate. Helped treat agitated depression and prevented drug-induced mania or something. That was waaay back in the day, though.

Tried benzos, alprazolam, diazepam, lorazapam, clonazapam. Clonazapam works but it sedates me quickly and I tend to fall asleep.
Neurontin and Lyrica are both GABA analogues I believe, I know Lyrica is the better of the two. I'm actually trying to get that first, but I am waiting on a doctor.. and if I use lyrica, most likely I'll need a stimulant with lyrica and nardil since I'll be sedated.
Plus Lyrica and more GABA = more memory issues..ahh it's annoying.I'll check the others.
But 1 mg of stelazine isn't bad at all. Not going to get mass TD or EPS from it. I don't think it's possible to get it from that dose and if you do I think it's reversible compared to using 8-80mg/daily.

hey. I didn't mean to come across as harsh. I know how intense agitation+anxiety can be. Sometimes, antipsychotics are the way to go. My shrink upped my Abilify to 30 (from 15) because of agitation I wasn't even aware of, so I get where you're coming from.
That said..I'd just *hate* to see someone get TD, you know? If you go for stelazine (actually, if you go for *ANY* antipsychotic, new or old, low or high dose), I'd personally recommend some C+E with it. May prevent some of the oxidative stress-induced brain changes that lead to TD and (I think) other tardive disorders.

Try risperidone 1mg at bedtime
I buy it online, $3 for 100 pills
It reduces anxiety and depression, only side effect was some mild drowsiness for the first couple of days
