Just a note.
The "T" in "TD" stands for "Tardive". By definition, tardive means "delayed" or "late". Usually, the abnormal movements that occur immediately upon starting an antipsychotic drug are a form of reversible EPS that will resolve if the drug is discontinued. Perhaps there are immediate EPS that are irreversible, but I am unaware of any at this time.

I didn't think it was possible Jeroen, but I believe there is someone here on PB who is even more compassionate than I am. You're right, for many help will be too late, but for many it will be in time - try to keep that in mind. And try to remember that we are all trying to help as much as we can...try not to let those who don't make it for whatever reason make you even more depressed. The world can be a beautiful place, but it can also be a very ugly place b/c of the greed and pitilessness of some people. People die all the time for lots of terrible reasons. But, at the same time, so many are saved b/c of the efforts of compassionate health care workers, firemen, policemen, and even good samaritans. There is good and evil in this world, and the same is true in the fight against mental illness. Some are helped, some are not. It's just one of those facts of life, like all the others I pointed out. The MAIN point is that most of us are good and want to help, and are doing our best to do so. Keep that in mind and try not to get too down...even though I admit that sometimes I get really sad...not just b/c of my depression, but b/c of the state of things in this world. Sometimes I wonder why we can't just all get along. Take care of yourself.
