I have been having trouble sleeping of late, and am wondering about using clonidine, probably rotating it with Seroquel - 50mg of Seroquel gives a good nights sleep, but i feel I get tolorant to it within a couple of weeks.... was wondering about taking clonidine and my (Indian) seroqule the next etc?
What dose of clonidine would I take for sleep?

I tried clonidine for sleep, tics, anxiety, etc. Hated the stuff. For sleep in particular, I woke up agitated, and I had awful nightmares.

It is actualy a blood pressure med phillipa, that blocks certain adrenalin receptors in the brain, and it has ben used off label for ADHA, opoid withdrawl, migrain, insomnia and quite a few other things as well...but like a lot of off label drugs, you wonder how effective it is

The insomnia seems to have been better the last 2 nights, so i think I'll leave it.... and keep my Indian grey market Seroquel for nights when I need to be knocked out cold

clonodine makes your mouth dry and can cause fatigue the next day due to hypotension. But if you still want to try it.... .2mg - .3m at night will slow things down.

Things have been better the last few nights - have been sleeping well on 50mg of Seroquel plus my usual meds.... next weel, i plan on stopping the Seroquel and replacing it with 25mg of doxylamine (One Unisom tablet) along with the 1mg of Xanax that I take morning and night

If and when insomnia becomes an issue again, I might try rotating clonidine with the Seroquel.
Thanks for the info and help guys.
