So, most of us with ADD know stimulants are highly effective but come with a price - when they wear off, ouch. Anxiety city. Doc recently wanted to try switching Xanax 1 bid with Ativan 0.5 bid + Lyrica 50 tid.
Anxiety is under much less control during the wear off period - I go from having everything under control to being worried and thinking about pretty emotional stuff. Now mind you, Dex has been the gentlest for me in this regard (Adderall, Ritalin et al, ouch) - but I am wondering if Vyvanse is "smoother" with its wear off effects.
Doing really well on:
Nardil 90mg
Xanax 1mg bid (switching back from this weird Ativan/Lyrica combo)
Dexedrine ER/Spansules 15mg bid
Ambien CR 12.5 @ HS
and testosterone therapy I'll resume as soon as I have an appointment with an endo...

i've been on dexedrine span. and vyvanse...usally the span. last about 6-8 hours...vyvanse lasts a bit longer through out the day but I actually wanted to switch from vyvanse to something else...my doc put me on spansules...i rather know when exactly when its going to wear off than having to go through long periods of it slowly wearing off...its not pleasant.

I've been on Vyvanse 70 mg for nearly 2 years now with no sign of crash in sight.

The reason Ativan didnt work as well was you were on a much lower dose in relative terms.
One would imagine that Vivanse would tail off more gradualy than a Dexadrine Spansule, would be well worth trying.

Quite right. I will be resuming Xanax tomorrow. Strangely I didn't have any wear off effects at all today!
