How long did it take to discontinue Nardil from 60mg dosage ? Have you suffered from any (serious)side effects after get rid of Nardil (like for example: higher anxiety, shaking, irritation, muscle cramps, great anger, tremor, tic...or any other) ? How long after stopping Nardil do I need to wait before I start taking any SSRI drug ? (I know that minimum is 14 days before I take any SSRI, but I wonder if it is possible and also safe to pass on SSRI sooner than after a period of 14 days ?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

I think its always good to discontinue a psychoactive med slowly unless there is some pressing reason to quit cold turkey.
I'd drop the dose by one 15mg pill at a time, the time between dose drops could be between 3 and 7 days depending on your reaction, giving a withdrawl period of 2-4 weeks
You would need to wait 2 weeks after your last dose before taking an SSRI type antidepressant

For what it's worth, I agree with jono_in_adelaide.

I also agree with the posts above.
I would also tell you that it was my personal experience that as I weaned off, there was terrible depression. No one warned me that this could happen. Perhaps it doesn't to many people. But I DID go back to feeling as depressed as I had before the Nardil in time (rather than many, many times worse). I hope that it is easy for you to move on to other meds, should you so choose.Stewie
