this is whats gonna happen....im on 100mg of lamotragine and its gonna raise to 3-400mg in the next couple months and at the same time they are going to remove the zyprexa by 5mg until I'm totally off it. I've read various times here the dose at 400mg actually did some reverse side effets and caused mental clouding...
Zyprexa witdrawl is not pleasant...i didnt take my 20mg last night and layed in the bed agitated and my thoughts where like spark plugs the just kept firing with extreme dyphoria....i finally intellecitualized myself to take it....but still this is nasty....and my doc said that lorazepam and xanax are bad with drawls...it would be one hell of nightmare if I discontinued zyprexa completely....
anyways...thanks for reading

But at least now you know that it is not true that you are not able to absorb any medication, because then you would not suffer from withdrawals reducing the medication.

That is unusual, though.
Cognitive and memory impairments often limit dosage escalation.

So if no withdrawals no absorption? This could be one of my problems. Phillipa

Not necessarily. You can not have had zero absorption if you get withdrawals when reducing or stopping the medication. But there are some people for which benzodiazepines work but who still have no problems when withdrawing. (Or take that example for this error of reasoning: If you do not eat you will die, but that doesn`t mean that all people who die did not eat.)

Thanks Scott. I started reading up, since I never really have on Lamictal, after your post yesterday. I'll talk to my doc because I do have problems in both areas.

it depends on what doctor you go too.....the last doctor that had me on the lamictal went to 100mg and did not want to increase. Went to a doctor before and he wanted to go to 200...now this time the nurse practitior is has finally heard my calls to the clinic about being vary depressed hoping she would move....she just told me she wanted me inbetween 200 and 400mg....and she did state of moving it to 400 a couple times because I told her my medication has a extremly hard time getting in my system.
Thanks Scott...

I didnt take my Zyprexa and my mind went into flips....knowing that 20mg is the max dose, and withdrawl from the system will result into various symptoms. Still their is not something right because my body has developed this resistance to the medication....absorbation or not, now when I don't take the medication I will have withdrawls i've realized, because I did a couple days without my meds and their where some evident withdrawl symtoms. See what is really .... like this anaology...a man puts fluid in his car...part of the fluid somewhat works but doesnt make the car functional even thought it is vary evident that this is effective fluids for it...and it doesnt respond and only has minimum response...the man curses the car....
anyways....do you get what I'm saying? im like taking all these cocktails that have been hard worked over the years and my body has minimum response to it, and these are potent meds in changing brain chemisty. There's something wrong with my body and it makes it apparant that their is nothing wrong....that's what makes the turmoil.
Thanks....

yea scott i've read these posts of it causing some mental problems at higher doses over 400mg. You are right....usally anything over 400 is for epilipsy....its like a really bad verion of phenobarbtial without the sedation.

i've realized that it the absorbation could not really be a problem. I've thought about it because alcohol, methamphetamine, and clondine absorb with efffects that are noticable, it just takes more adequate amounts that a another person would already be having the full effects. I think its more multiple drug resistance....their is just something thta is not diagnose that is causing this. No one will ever look at that option here on babble.
thanks...

yea markus....like I said it may not be a absorbation issue because alcohol, methamphetamine, and clonodine will have effects that I can tell. It takes alot of high amounts thought....its really irritating. I havent had meth in body for a couple weeks now...im fine...im just back to the depression that I've been using these substances to make it go away and feel better. And of course if they produce a high....that would make me also happy...i hate to say but I am addict....but it makes me really irritiated when people use that as a degratory referance and then they take narcotics and get away with it...they just never talk about the high they expierience because anything relating to a "high" is drug addict mentality. It all better with the use of intelligence.
anyways....you know their is a big problem that is causing me not to get better and i've viewed the dark side to inflict sickness and mental issues as their bondage. I know this sounds vary silly but I do believe the sickness the devil will inflict and act like its just coicidence....their are bibical examples of people who where extremly mentall sick and Jesus rebuked them and they went into pigs and then ran off the mouintain. And theirs alot of other cases of this that are just not known to the public. . Getting a personal spiritualist or witchdoctor to relieve these things will make things much easier to deal with.

A lot of people like it but you never know. I have no idea what Lamictal is or isn't doing for me. I have no idea what Lithium's doing, or Seroquel. At this point, I don't have a clue. My pharmacy was totally out of Seroquel for two days so I skipped those. I thought I felt more depressed but I may have been just psyching myself out.
My answers from now on to IRL questions about my bipolar and meds...I don't know.
Ah, I just take the pills, the doc knows what they are.
Really, hmmm.
That's interesting, didn't know that.
Me? Shoot, I feel fantastic.
I just feel better being overweight.
No, you heard wrong. I mean me? In a psych ward...please.
Side effects? Can't remember any.
Kay R Jamison is bipolar? Get outta here.
Yes! All bipolar's are genius'. I've heard that.
Oh no, I just haven't found my niche.
Your uncle's stepson is bipolar? What are the odds?
Yeah, friends. We just don't see each other or talk...stuff like that.
Plans? Ah, I just kinda live for today.
Yeah, nice talking to you too.

I understand that it is very hard, when you feel desperate and nothing they give to you is really helping. And in spite of this they pretend to have all the answers, patronize you and blame it all on you. Still I think it is great that you realize that you have an addiction problem and didn`t do meth for a few weeks.

Couple of things
1. Lactimal at 400mg caused serious memory problems for me.
2. Zyprexa can have nasty nasty withdrawals in some.
Trying to up Lactimal while going down on Zyprexa is a recipie for disaster.
I can imagine a doctor pretending like they know what they are doing when telling you to do this and nodding wisely to themselves.

yea I know.....but the concluision is that I did notice withdrawl from the zyprexa after a day my mind was fast, too unstable....had more of a desire to drink to make the shakes go away. Zyprexa is good for anxiety and calming some people down.
They work....but to a minimal extent...like a car that doesnt respond to its antifreeze and oil and doesnt use it properly....usally the owner curses the car...
anyways...yea thanks...:)
