Hi, I recently change back to clonazepam from lorazepam. I am also taking amitriptyline and methylphenidate. I have toyed with these two benzos for a while. I think clonazepam might be a bit better for me. I think it stabilizes me a bit more and has less rebound.
Wish me luck and/or share your thoughts.

how much amitriptyline do you take and how long did it take to get used to the drowsiness (if you had any)
I can't get above 10mg without being knocked out all day, but at the same day it gives me a sense of motivation and wanting to do things.. but i just can't get out of bed to do it.

Amazing how much differently meds affect us. I was on 250mg Amitriptyline for 5 years. Slept like a rock and woke up with tons of energy and a bit of hypomania. Ah, the good old days.
I've only taken Clonazepam so I'm no help on that. I do like it and I don't feel any peaks and valleys on it. It's the last med I would give up.

I am just on 10mg. I also take 30mg of methylphenidate (or am approved for up to this dose).
Amitriptyline is a dirty drug for sure. I only take 5-10mg.

clonozepam is more sedating, its potent...i first got put on it about 8years ago....started .5mg moved to 1mg...got depressed on it, switched to lorazpeam 1mg 3 times a day....then 2mg....didnt help the panic attacks..its not as mentally sedating as klonopin, its also an antiepleptic and antipanic medication and is a preferred benzo sometimes by docs because its not vary euphoric....only usally provides relief and sedation, in some people it can activate them by relieving their freezed anxiety mindset. U should work with dose....don't know whats the best, but it is good for sleep too..
