Well, first I have to say upfrount that I have had this mindset for years. Back in 2004 when I posted I asked people about barbiturates and I was only 17 and reading indpeth articles from the 1960's of drug trials. Ugh, you know I realized how sick I was but I still do have that mindset, in 2006 I was prescibed large amounts of benzos
Temazpeam 30mg
Alrapzolam 2mg X 3 dailybut after I was removed from it, it was awful time to endure. One of the things you must know is that the basic survival is to learn to get what you want without substances of choice, you have to think vary intelligent with doctors that know you are a substance abuse patient. You have to see both their views of you and your condition and you have to work work work go through periods of stupid meds that you know will not work. It takes time and determination with anaylsis with your doctor to be approved for your med of choice and this does not include the old, and the most addiction potential meds like opiates, and my old intrest barbiturates which makes me discusted thinking I used to think like that. Opiates are not good in the long run, barbiturates are worse because they lose their effectiveness and will leave unsatisfied unless you take more, but some people have been approved to take them for years. The main thing I have learned is that if you want something in this world, like having a successful career your going to have to accept the conditions that are blocking you, and find a way around them and do it without meds if your case is like mine. My dream was and still is to be a financial anaylst but I have so much sloppyness, and lowlife qualities there are times I never think I am going to make it, and my prayers to the Lord of Hosts, you know sometimes prayers are not awnsered until you get to the next reality after this one, it vary frustrating to pray and have no results, prayer requires action with faith but it has to be in line with the will of God and not for fleshly desires. I don't know, I'm off subject.
My point is that I am seriously facing problems with my body not even absorbing my meds and has left me with nothing but pessimistic thinking of things today and the future, and I admit I wished I could take something to make me feel better than the rot that I feel like all the time. Just rerember to use your intellect with doctors, get smart, don't mention drug names unless you have a valid reason. Have faith.

I doubt drugs are having 'no effect' on you. Lets just say you have treatment resistant depression that isn't responding to the current medication strategy. What have you tried in the way of antidepressants?

God always answers prayers. It's just that sometimes the answer is, "not now". His ways are greater than ours, so we may not understand....at this point.
Hey i think maybe you can do a lot more for yourself than merely look to doctors of mood substances. Anti-inflammation, anti-toxin, anti-infection, careful strategic food choices.....these are the kinds of things that can get you out of feeling stuck. With this added strategy you are not just mopping up symptoms at the rear of the line, you're attacking the causes of the symptoms at the front of the line.
This is the end of the thread.
