Cytomel making me tired??

Posted by Roslynn on January 16, 2012, at 10:39:42

Hi everyone,

I am taking Cytomel to hopefully boost my antidepressant, but it seems to be making me tired and fuzzy-headed. Does this happen with Cytomel (only 15 mg right now) and will this side effect go away?

Thanks for any help!

Roslynn

Tired and fuzzy-headed was how I felt when my thyroid hormones were low--just before I started taking cytomel and synthroid.

It is definitely the cytomel making me tired. I wonder if it is interacting with another med I am taking? My thyroid levels are all normal.

Phillipa, I felt the way you described when I took Cytomel about 10 years ago. But now it just makes me tired.

It's strange how meds change as benzos used to give me energy as no anxiety now just tired. Wonder what cytomel would now do? Phillipa
