the most marked characteristic of my chronic depression is cognitive dysfunction, complete lack of short term memory and anhedonia. I know how odd this sounds, but the only time i have clarity and am able to experience any pleasure is when I've had multiple drinks the night before.

maybe a rebound from the depressive effects of alcohol? Or some effect on the metabolism of meds youre on?
Could maybe be something to do with the carbohydrates in it. I usually get a bad rebound the day after I consume a lot of carbs.
