that's intense. Why 2 antipsychotics? Personally--and I'm not a doctor, so keep that in mind--I'd try to take 1 at a dose low enough to avoid EPS, so that way I wouldn't need cogentin.

Did he start all those at the same time? I am guessing no.

Based on other cocktails I've seen here, yours isn't particularly alarming. It appears appropriate for bipolar. I don't agree with having two antipsychotics in a cocktail but hey.

I mention it probably almost every post, and it is based on research, my own personal experience, and reading the experiences of others....rhodiola rosea. If we could somehow have a national competition to put anything "antidepressant" up against each other, rhodiola would probably beat out all the antidepressant man made meds as well as man made mood stabilizers and would probably be a better add-on in just about any cocktail than any other substance I can think of.

I can see some decent anti-mania in your cocktail but I really don't see a ton of antidepressant potential in it. I hope it helps you feel better. We will see.

I happen to not agree with dishing out cocktails such as yours. My logic says, and the STAR+D study said the same thing, that 2 meds can bring about significant improvement, 3 meds max on rare occasions. Very simple....if we need more meds than that, then we are taking the wrong meds. IMO. The urge is there to say "oh but my disease is so bad it needs 5 meds". I do not buy that premise. 5 meds just means they are the wrong meds. Two meds hitting the real target directly will greatly outperform 6 meds partially hitting the target.

And what's your mood stabilizer?
