Hi babblers,
after only a few hours at my desk in the office, my eyes are pink/bloodshot, super-dry and uncomfortable. I think there's a mild draft from A/C but nothing strong and no-one else is having trouble. Hence, since dry eyes are an S/E of Nardil I suspect that it is having a play in this.Anyway, does anyone have any good suggestions for combating dry eyes? Any meds or some such? I intentionally blink more often now (took a while to learn!) and use eye-drops but am still in quite a bit of discomfort (on top of all the other S/E's, depression, OCD etc.)
Thanks in advance,
Pedr

I was going to also suggest the lubricating eye drops. Phillipa

Try Visine On The Go - you can buy them at drugstore.com
They contain a lubricant/moisturiser, as well as the traditional Visine decongestant.
Every 15 minutes, look away from the screen, and focus on things a different distance away (somthing very close, somthing quite far away)

i've had this problem since i started an maoi. i'm pretty sure that it's because i'm staring at a computer for hours and not blinking much or relaxing and giving my eyes a break. it gets better when i make a better effort not to stare so much.

thanks for the tip. Hopefully the decongestant won't reach the bloodstream and interact with the MAOI :)
I already take breaks, look into the distance and so on. That's more for preventing eye-strain rather than dry eyes. It just feels like a constant draft is hitting my eyes, drying them out. I am having to take breaks and stop work early :( Got a crazy headache from it last night. Going to get a doc's appt.
This is the end of the thread.
