having taken both klonopin at 1.5 at night and .5 in the morning and lorazepam 1.5 at night and .5 in the morning (currently klonopin) it seems ativan gave me better relief ...is this unusual..as everyone says lorazepan is weaker

Good question as thought the same. Same as heard valium is weaker even if longer acting. So you live ativan? generic or namebrand? As have a bottle of generic here? Haven't used it got about 2 years ago. Phillipa

I prefer klonopin, I can take it at night only, and it lasts all day. I dont like taking a benzo during the day, makes me feel weird.when I went to er, they gave me injections of ativan, now that was great! My husband said I went from out of my mind panic to mellow in 2 minutes

I'd have thought lorazepam and clonazepam were about equipotent, but of course some individuals will do beter on one than the other, so its quite possible that Ativan works better for you.
If it does, dont worry about what others say is best, go with what is best for you
