So, the 30 pounds I gained on my small 5 foot frame is actually causing me back pain now. Anyone know of any antidepressants that may work and NOT cause carb cravings? Still eating a ton on effexor....pristiq and cymbalta were the same...my pdoc seems to think my dose isnt high enough...that its a lack of serotonin? I am currently taking 150 effexor XR and was at 60 cymbalta and 100 of pristiq (not at same time)

FM lack of serotonin causes carb cravings? I've never heard this. If so I don't lack serotonin as no carb cravings. Maybe meds just don't help other than what benzos did for years? Phillipa

Were you craving carbohydrates before you started the antidepressants?

No I didn't - all I want to do is eat now and I never had weight or food issues prior to medication

so far celexa has been the worst and zoloft the best, for me anyhow.
I was on topamax for awhile which was good on pain and killed my appetite. Unfortunately it made me as stupid and slow as a box of rocks =(
