I tried pregabalin a few years ago. I reacted very badly to it in the same way I react terribly to gabapentin. My depression was made worse, and I was left with cognitive impairments, some derealization, and an unremitting brain-fog. These things lingered for a few weeks after discontinuing the drug.

I wouldn't think so, but I am not sure. I had not a single withdrawal symptom upon discontinuation of Lyrica. It's just that the cognitive side effects persisted well after I discontinued the drug.
