Please help!!! I have been taking klonopin, 1mg tablets, 3 times a day. My employer notified me that I have to pass a random urine test every month. I have a prescription for the Klonopin, which my employer has confirmed with my pharmacy so I know if it shows up in my urine, I'm ok BUT yesterday a friend of mine gave me a couple of her Xanax because I haven't had a chance to pick up my Klonopin from the pharmacy. Can they tell from a urine test that I took Xanax instead of Klonopin, or will it just show up as a benzo that they will assume is my Klonopin? Does anyone know if I will need to start looking for a job real soon? I know the urine test is a 5-so they will only be looking for 5 substances, unfortunately, benzos are 1 of them

PA, when I had a urine/blood test over the summer, they just looked at a general category of benzodiazepine. So I think your secret is safe.

I think a benzo is a benzo in a drug test but don't know for sure. Phillipa

Wow, thanx so much, everyone-I can now get some sleep before work tonight. Will b having urine test in morning. And as far as sweating-no-I haven't noticed anything unusual,unless you count the sweating I did over this concern!

you might be right i switch anywhere from 1.75 to 1.50. not consistent...but i don't think its that..take 1.25 at 10pm and .5 or .25 in day.....used to take 2.o of lorazepam for years ...maybe i am underdosing i.5 at night .5 in morning

ron i think you might be right about the in between withdrawel symptoms as my dr gave me 2mg ..i can take 1.5 at night to sleep and .5 during the day ...BUT i've been playing around with the dosages taking anywhere from 1.5 a day to 2mg and sometimes 1.75 so i've been inconsistent...going back to 2 and staying there and i have a feeling this will be solved...have a fear of too much klonopin
