So, I'm in the waiting room at UCSF... I took my neighbor for his monthly ECT jolt... and I pick up an AARP Magazine cuz I am bored with yet more press about rTMS. I am doing well enough not to pursue this, and my insurance won't cover it anyway, but it seems that I've never heard anyone here or elsewhere have miracle stories about it. In fact, the only home things I've heard about it come from testimonials on websites for clinics that do this. Anyone had success with this or know of someone that has? Just curious. It's gotten a lot of press the last few years.

Z, I only know what a Stanford doc told me over a year ago: they were excited, it co tangly is reproved and refined for greater efficacy, and I thought, as soon as my insurance coversit, I'm trying it. I was marked as a good candidate (why, I do not know) but did not have the money.
Stanford is somewhat close, but there are plans to build a facility in my town. I'm not sure I would prefer going to our rinky-dinky local hospital over the pomp and circumstance of Stanford.
Guess it depends on the operator :S
