I was anxious going in. The doc thinks I should bring wellbutrin sr down to 100mg. And reduce the perphenazine from 12mg TID to 8mg TID. What do you think, is it posible that the perphenazine is making me anxious. Said it could be restlessness. Also gave me an extra 5mg zyprexa PRN, for when anxious. I told her that some times it seems like the meds(zyprexa) is not working, when other times it works great, which is most of the time. Also to stay on the 15mg zyprexa every day. So starting today I reduced the perphenazine and took a 5mg zyprexa. I'm supposed to do each change one at a time.

First sounds like a good pdoc one change at a time. Didn't know you were anxious though. You have done so well on your combo. Didn't know about the wellbutrin though which could cause anxiety. Phillipa

Not always anxious, just some times. I never was realy sure if perphenzine would help anxiety. I know that zyprexa does. I have a feeling she has given up on perphenazine after 4 years on it.
Zyprexa is genric in one month! Hope its good.

yes I'm still at the same job now for the last year and 4 months.
Thursday was my first day on lower perphenazine and boy what a difference. Slept for only 3 hours and woke at 6am. Stayed awake all day and went to work at 6pm. Worked till 2am. Came home and slept for 12 hours, TG. Had a real bad day at work yesterday. High anxiety all day and tips were bad, ofcourse. Today at work was right back to normal though. Plus I was more down to earth, talkative, and pleasant. Think this lower dose of perphenazine is going to work. Its taking some getting used to though.

is that I'm getting anxious between 4pm and 10pm. Then I take the 15mg zyprexa and it goes right away. So I wonder if taking 5mg at 4pm, when I wake up, and then 10mg at night will that fix the problem. Think I will try it tomorrow. Other wise I guess I'm just going to have to put up with it or take 20mg zyprexa, which I don't want to do. Maybe the lower perphenazine will stabilize soon.

I'm starting to think that the wellbutrin is the problem. I noticed that the anxiety is coming on right after taking the wellbutrin. Since I'm supposed to cut down on that too, I'm going to do that today, see what happens.

Decreased the wellbutrin to 100mg and I feel great. Just have to split the zyprexa dose, into 10mg at 10pm and the other 5mg some time between 6am and 4pm. I actualy feel better now than before the decrease of perphenazine and wellbutrin! I'm guessing that the whole reason I needed the perphenazine was to counter the wellbutrin. So since this is working so well. I can get rid of perphenazine and wellbutrin and be back to just the zyprexa. Thinking that I might stick with the 15mg dose instead of going back to 10mg. But who knows. I do still have a ways to go on perphenazine, only down 1/3 the dose and almost off wellbutrin. The funny thing is that I'm not gaining any weight since the decrease. Could it be the high dose of caffine and the nicotine lozenges?

Forgot to mention that I have only taken the 5mg PRN zyprexa once, on the first day. Also I still take zoloft 150mg. Probably going to keep that one too. Hoping to also be able to get off the cogentin.
I feel more alive since these reductions. Down to earth.
