I've been taking Wellbutrin for a week now. Its not doing anything and im very frustrated with my body for not accepting it. I take various supplements and im very resistant to them. You know whats that called ??? the blood brain barrier or something its like nothing is getting thought to it. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm so tired of expecting something to do something and then its sh*tty and doesnt work. I am not comparing this to amphetamines either...this is simply not working AT ALL. The prozac zyprexa clonodine wellbutrin all of them have no effect. I want to flush them. I'm so sick of this sh*t with nothing working after trials and waiting. I could just point a gun to my head right now but I choose not to because i have to deal with things called life.
Someone please just help me and show what to say to the doctor. I need to be on my own and one person said here that I simply don't want to but they don't understand its like im helpless. I just wished there was someone who could hear me saying "help"
Matt

RJ
what is your diagnosis, and what meds are you currently taking for it?

The only suggestion I have is to tell your doc and ask if you might be a rapid metabolizer.
Maybe move on to something else?

A week isnt very long, generaly they say you should stick with an AD for 4-6 weeks before giving it up as no good.
It might be that you have a condition that isnt amenable to drug treatment (eg personality disorder?)

Tell your doctor you want to withdraw from all meds. She will be eager to do this and she will come up with a safe withdrawal plan. She will also convince your mother that this is a good idea. If you say they aren't doing anything then you should not suffer any adverse effects apart from the normal withdrawal effects, which admittedly can be harsh and distressing. But I haven't really read here any stories here of hard withdrawal from Prozac and Zyprexa and clonidine. Once all the drugs have completely washed out of your system you and your doc need to evaluate your condition. When you go back on meds you can start with the Wellbutrin and/or Strattera and go from there.

Yeah, I think HF is right, if it is true that your meds are not doing anything for you, Matt.
If you are taking Prozac and clonodine and Zyprexa, just hoping for amphetamine eventually.........well, various things, one of which is that you probably won't get it anyway.
If they are not doing anything for you, is it not possible they make you feel worse?
Just something to think about.
