hi.Ive been taking meds for about 5 yrs. recently had a silghr manic episode. then nose dive depression bedredder for days. my meds are abilify,wellbutron,topomax,cogention,thyriod med. my pdoc took me off seroquel and replaced it with tririfon. it was like a miracle!!! I feel well again. anyone else?

hey. Congrats on your new, effective medication. I read that as long as you keep the dose reasonable, perphenazine is a good option. I think in the CATIE studies it may have outperformed Seroquel, not sure though.
Any weight changes after the switch? How's your mood?

that's great. I've been curious about perphenazine ever since I read about the CATIE study, but I've been hesitant to ask my doctor about it. I'm prone to EPS and doctors seem to love ramping up the dose of whatever I'm on, so I figure I'll stick with Abilify.
Are you less sedated?

yes i am much less sedated, actully i find it slightly activating. If you take it with cogention
you wont experience the eps as much.thanks for your response.
