I dont think gabapentin works instantly, it isnt like valium and xanax where you take a pill and in half an hour you feel calm...... I think it needs to be used regularly for a period to excert its effect.

Self medicating with alcohol and pills is a bad move, next time, just stick to the Xanax as directed on the bottle.

How many Xanax and how much alcohol have you had?

well i actually woke up ok.
i had about 2100mg gabapentin near as i can tell. only 1 or 1.5mg of xanax and three beers.

the xanax really wiped me out lastnight. i was wanting to take more but finally kicked in and i couldn't even keep my eyes open to type.

i think today with anxiety i'm going to stick with xanax, not the gabapentin.
i think my anxiety is so strong that the gaba is just not cutting it. thats why i took so much during the day. it relaxes me but doesnt get me sleepy. thats why i didnt want to take xanax during the day...but
today is different.

thanks.

have anxiety today but NOTHING like it was yesterday. and my 'hormones' are much better.
i have a little arousal but totally controllable.
the last two days have been a nightmare in that department.
its like it overtook Everything...
almost scary since that is so NOT who i am.

since my anxiety is light today i only took gabapentin today.

thank all for helping.

Nuerontin increases the effects of Xanax and so does alchohol. Try to be careful with mixing it. But there's no danger with mixing nuerontin and xanax. There IS if you drink alcohol. I used to take xanax with a shot of vodka and it gave me a buzz that I enjoyed but it slowed me down to where my heart rate was ... not there.

Please be careful.

Much care
Matt

thank you rjlockhart, your personal experience is essential to me.

sometimes i do things just to see how far i can go.
someday i will regret that.
so i need to be more careful now.

thnx.
