nortriptyline update week 7

Posted by rculater on August 25, 2011, at 15:32:21

If anyone's interested, I'm still stuck at 10mg. I sleep good. Not tired in the day but that's it. As far as my mood is concerned, its still very flat and blah.

I know I need to get up to at least 50mg of this, your right JONO im probably not going anywhere on this dose -but im off on vacation in 1 week and I dont want to be on my vacation all spazzy.. plus I will probably consume alcohol while im away... I will wait until I return and move to 20mg again. This could be the longest, slowest titrate up ever !

Have you considered changing to desipramine - its a tricyclic, but it caused virtualy no drowsiness or sedation, if the nortriptyline is still making you groggy at 10mg it might be time to look at an alternative.

I remember when I tried Prothiaden, at a dose of 150mg at night, I felt like I was comming out of a coma, and my mouth was so dry I found it hard to speak
