Xanax on urine screening

Posted by jono_in_adelaide on August 18, 2011, at 22:16:58

I have a pre employment medical on mnday, and I'd like to not show Xanax up on the urine screen.

I have been taking 1mg twice a day, would 72 hours drug free be enough for it to fall below the 200mcg/ml cutoff

It depends on a lot of things. If they are testing for Xanax, then typically after about 4 half lives (the half life of Xanax is 11.2 hours) it should be undetectable, so after about 45 hours. However, testing centers usually look for the metabolites of a benzo, rather than the benzo itself, which can take up to 10 days.

If you have a prescription for the Xanax, just disclose that to the testing center and it won't be a problem. If you don't have a prescription... well... good luck.

I have a script, and my useage is totaly legit, but in Australia, mining companys generaly dont hire people with performance impairing drugs in their system, due to increased accident/injury rates (even though mine is an office job)
