Last night was my first night on 30 mg temazepam. Good news: It put me in a real sleep. Bad news: I woke up in the middle of the night and had to take another one. Good news: I then woke up at 6:30 instead of two hours prior. Depression is still the same. I have to remind myself I can get out of bed and do things. But it's not like the blip I had at the beginning. I'll give myself till mid September maybe to see if the response will come back. I will address this in another post, but I want to research the MAO platelet inhibition test I've read about. If anyone knows if there's a code or something for this test would you let me know so I can tell the doc? still alive. Thanks to all.

Temazepam has a pretty short half life, so it will get you to sleep if thats all the problem is but i wont keep you asleep. Look for an online benzo chart which shows a half life of each. Or try zopiclone instead? Klonopin will knock u out all night but might leave some residue clumsiness the next day. I've heard xanax is quick and just about right for waking after a full nights sleep.

Personally, I think zopliclone can pose the same problems, plus cause some nighttime behavior issuses for some ( like doingnthings and not remembering. My own experience with Xanax was it was good atbsleep initiation for awhile, but using it that way caused my dose to escalate. Plus, no help in the waking up partbway throughnthe night department.
But I am still searching for good sleep support myself.....

Abilify can knock u out yet also get u up in the mornings, after 6hrs-ish. Thats enough sleep for healthy people.
There are loads of benzos- one should work. Avoid Valium and its metabolite relatives. Especially chlordiazepoxide (Librium)- you will be stimulated on that stuff after 2 weeks.
Many APs are great for sleep but can cause drowsiness the next day, but which might dissappear with time.
Good luck!shot

...ps didn't like librium too weak
Im talking high doses, like 60mg+. If you were coming off drink ud be put strait on 80-120mg. That equals 80-120mg Valium lol

Librium gave me such an odd feeling. Actually had RLS like effect at night. Truly awful for me. Though my dose was, I think, much smaller than yours.
