Ok - This Geodon is making me nuts! I thought it was the Adderall. But I have stopped the Adderall and have even doubled my dose, divided my dose, etc. of Geodon and it just makes me manic.
My husband made the comment this morning that "Mama has changed her meds again"! Yikes!
So, I need to incorporate Lithium again. I just want to stay as low as possible - but how low? My doc wants me on 600mg (which makes me lose my hair and gain weight).
I am wondering if I can use Geodon as a mood booster (sort of an antidepressant) and low dose the Lithium. With Geodon I don't need Adderall anymore!
I started getting zits and losing hair on 450mg of Lithium.
Anyone use 300mg of Lithium? Maybe just 40mg of Geodon at night would help mood.
Of course, I still have my Klonopin as well.
Help! I have spent waaaay too much money lately! I wish I could send my credit card bills to whoever makes Geodon!

hm for antimanic i'm not sure there is much evidence for lowish doses.
go big or go how on geodon.
though i am i fan of (actually low) low dose lithium. 5mg with my coffee

Sheila, I don't know. What was your lowest dose of lithium ever?
I have yet to buy it otc at the health food store, but it's there in a slightly different chemical name than my old script. You ever go over to the Alt board? I've seen it discussed there. (Jeez, you"d think I could remember :-/ )
You seem to be very dose sensitive, just from what I've read into your posts. Good luck. Sounds like your hubby has some humor. That helps....

Last time I had bloodwork done I was o 450mg of Lithium.
When I first started it I took 150mg 2x a day, then my doc said it was easier on the kidneys to take it all at once.
300mg is ok. At 150mg I get an antidepressant feel from it.

just to let you know i actually had a psychotic reaction to high dose of geodon.
and had to get off immediately. i was at 80 and they bumped me up to double that and within two days had the reaction. Hearing voices, dysphoric mania, suicidal...etc.not a fan of geodon.

Same thing happened to me. This is a serious med. I guess it works for some people. Just not us.
