I see the insert for fluoxetine has many more side effects listed than the one for escitalopram.
Is this because fluoxetine is an older drug or because escitalopram has fewer problems?.
I switched from escitalopram to fluoxetine because I felt somnolence on esci but now I have some digestive problems and I am not sure if it is the fluox.
Thanks.

Personally when prozac first came out took 20mg first day incredible energy felt marvelous, second day anxious and felt good at that time of life on .25 of xanax. Day 3 severe panic and ditched it. With celexa it made me so tired couldn't stand it. So for me worked very differently. Phillipa

I would guess s-citalopram has less side effects, but it is a newer drug and the newer the study, the more i would consider it biased.
