hello people
i have to come off geodon ,should it be done slowly or can i come of fast; any suggestions would be helpful

Some people can get away with fast, so you might try that. But be prepared if things get rough to go back up in dose a little bit to your most recent dose and then stabilize there and then begin a slower wean. In my own experience what works best is to reduce dose in tiny steps. That means making custom sized doses of capsules or tablets. Pretty easy. For me the time it takes to complete the wean is one thing, but the size of the dose change is the most important thing. Each person is different so you kind of have to feel it out.

I was on a high dose of 60mg x4 a day. When I stoped it I just stoped all at once and went on to the next med. Never had any problems.

I'd say go slow unless there is some compelling reason not too...... a slow taper over 4 weeks is gonna be easier than stopping cold
