I finally got the courage to take 10mg last night to help me sleep, I also have pulsatile tinnitus and IBS as well as Dysthemia. I heard Ami can help the 1st 2 symptoms off label.
I slept OK and im surprised today I feel OK, not like a normal med startup im used too where im out of it for a week. I know its a low dose but I don't want to risk the weight gain so notorious with this.

>I took amitriptyline for about a year and never gained a pound in weight. I don't think it causes weight gain as much as drugs such as Zyprexa or Seroxat do.

>I ended up on 150mg per night. Worked reasonably well for depression but did very little to help my GAD and panic disorder so my doctor took me off the drug. As far as i can remember i didn't gain any weight at all while on it although I did get the usual anticholinergic side effects.
