How safe is it to take a low dose of sertraline (50 mg.) with 1 mg. or other MAO-B dose of rasagiline? I know that they are supposedly contra-indicated but I just read about a study for rasagiline that doe allow limited amounts of some SSRIs to be taken concurrently but maybe that's because the test subjects will be monitored very carefully.

G'day......why wouldn't it be OK?
The rasagaline is not going to inhibit MAO A, is it?

Hi sig,
Hopefully not but I'm worried about possibly taking something else (supplements or maybe medication) that could increase the concentration of rasagiline without me knowing it. There are so many supplements that I can't seem to find out much about how they are metabolized and I don't really want to stop taking them.
This is the end of the thread.
