Going to hospital tommorow

Posted by rjlockhart04-08 on December 16, 2010, at 16:56:25

Well I have to say I have been really depressed and I do need to some help for it. I'm going tommorow and I hope I can stay overnight so they can redo my meds to someting that will be beneficial. See my mother will not let me take Ativan or any addicting kinda of medication and I understand that so I need to tell them that. But really I can't get help with this addiction medication scare, I mean the doctor that I see is .... a beechach because she sees the depression as part of an addiction and won't treat it. I mean she's really a pain in the *ss because she won't try anything and says "you look fine, you dont need anything" Which really makes things miserable. I told her she's a misery doctor that won't treat a patient and she just smiled. She's really a "beeeach". So hopefully tommorow I can get some help.

Matt, I, too, suffer from chronic anxiety and I just want to tell you that I have not had very good experiences with meds. Every person seems to react differently to each drug. You may be lucky but then again you may end up in the ditch like me. Before you start on meds, are you sure you have explored all other avenues? I would try the natural remedies first combined with strenuous exercise every day. Did you hear the story about the man who was so depressed he decided to run and run and run until he died of exhaustion? Well, guess what? All that running changed his body chemistry and he recovered from his depression. These are just thoughts. I am sending them to you because you are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Meds yes, but only if absolutely necessary--they could put on a life-long pharmaceutical merry-go-round.

Sorry, Matt, I just read your previous post and I now realize your situation is more dire than I thought. Yes, your decision to go to a hospital for evaluation by another doctor is a good one, especially if you have suicidal thoughts.
