now im thinking it was the klonipin that was causing my anger stuff.
ive been in hospitals day program and now i'm just on zyprexa and gabapentin, still not fixed but pdoc there said that klonipin works on the same receptors that alcohol does (which is when i get freaked out and angry) and i hadn't taken Klon for about a week then took some last night to get to sleep and this morning was all piss#d off at everything and slaming doors...etc.do you folks think klonipin or abilify was more my issue (and no i'm not totally blaming meds) i know that i obviously have some 'anger issues' things that upset me- triggers etc.
but...what you all think? any experiences?
i think i need to up zyprexa to 10 cuz i still having very suicidal thoughts.
and most times within 24/48 hours zyprexa works. not this time??
PLEASE STOP THESE DEATH THOUGHTS!
what the h#ll is wrong with me??b2c.

Klonipin/clonazepam can be depressing, and from some general experiences, the depressing can lead to frustration.
I have also found Zyprexa to cause a bit of activating anger, but gabapentin as well.
Gabapentin also really messed up my sleep, and too much of it would also put me back into a deep depression. How is your sleep? Do you get good restful sleep, or is it lite and full of dreams?I know this is the last thing you may want to hear, but a very, very tiny dose of an antidepressant may be useful for you. A sedating, older tricyclic may be warranted.
Best of wishes...
Jay

I also found klonopin depressing and I felt suicidal and didn't know where the thoughts came from as didn't want to die called the pdoc he said was the klonopin go off it and back on xanax. So that's my story. B2chica someone with you? Love Phillipa

benzos in general can make some people angry and aggressive..I think its called "disinhibtion" or something like that..similar to what alcohol does to some people.
I don't know about Neurontin. I took it briefly, with Klonopin, and it made me too stupid to function. Klonopin only makes me angry at 3mgs/day+, so it could be a dosage issue, too.
Sorry you're feeling so terrible. Things will get better soon. I would think that a higher dose of zyprexa might be soothing and help with suicidal thoughts. If I remember correctly, zyprexa, clozapine, and lithium have been shown to reduce suicide in the severely mentally ill. I would think it'd do the same for you, too.
Good luck.

Yeah, I don't think benzo's cause anger as much as they can cause latent emotions to surface.
So, if you're angry about something and you're supressing it, a benzo might cause this anger to manifest itself.
Benzos are also sometimes used to reduce agression, so it can work both ways.
