Help me get rid of my Brain Zaps.

Posted by BrainZapped on November 23, 2010, at 7:42:13

I have been on Clonazepam since 1993. I have had brain zaps for a long time, at least over 10 years. I want to get rid of them. They are tripped off when I look to the right. I was also on Zoloft for several years, but have not taken them in about a year and I had the zaps before I went off the Zoloft.

Any thought?

Regards.

Welcome to babble. I've only experienced brain zaps when withdrawing from an ad and that was low dose paxil. I've not heard of zaps with no med changes. And you say there have been none? Phillipa

Seems like if turning your head to the right triggers them, I'd say it could be an issue other than the meds. herpills

It's when I turn my eyes in their sockets, not my head.

A low dose of 5 HTP maybe? Its strong stuff so take the capsule apart and maybe try 25mg or 50mg. Sounds like your still suffering from a serotonin problem caused by zoloft.

"If you are or were taking an antidepressant and you have head symptoms or an electrical jolt type of sensation, go to any store that sells vitamins and purchase a bottle of omega 3 fish oil. Look at the back label of the bottle with the highest amount of EPA content. This should get you some relief quickly."
