Ahhh, a good brother--very wonderful. I am so sorry about her pdoc and how you sister was treated. Again, that stinks, really stinks. Hmmm...so two more treatments next week. I hope the weekend isn't lost in a fog of anxiety--don't understand why she wasn't given something for that. I hope the pdoc has a good reason. Any chance of you calling the pdoc for a conversation--my sister did that once for me and it was helpful.
Well, more thoughts and prayers on this...the journey continues.....

It's just around the corner from home so no driving is required, maybe a taxi if she's feeling bad, as we don't need cars where we live.
She has seroquel and seroquel XR for anxiety but it isn't doing a thing whatsoever. Seriously, I wouldn't let an animal suffer like this. If our cat was under the table shaking and scared for a couple of day it would be straight off to the vet!
I'm really angry at her pdoc, he's been so good to her over the last 3 years and now he's dismissing her anxiety claims. I'll call him next week if she doesn't improve

She's gone away for the weekend and is actually doing really well, my sister and family live down the coast so she's gone to see them. She's having a great time

Well she is fantastic again at the moment, one more to go on Thursday and that's it. Her pdoc is really happy and most importantly, so is she!
I'm just hoping her anxiety doesn't come back. If it's going to, it will be in the next few hours. If her pdoc doesn't give her something for it, I am going to go in and ask him a simple question. How can you let someone suffer like this from pure anxiety. Her depression has gone, her racing thoughts have gone, she's just fantastic. Cross your fingers for her guys. Thanks again for all the support.

Well it happened, the worst yet! She actually got so freaked out she hid in her bed while I was off seeing my pdoc. I came home to find her a sweating, trembling mess.
Aside from this anxiety she would be just fantastic. I'm just so stunned her pdoc wont give her anything for the next week and reassess. It's beyond a joke now. He's benzo phobic which is fine, so why can't he give her a stronger AP for a week or two because it doesn't matter how much seroquel she takes. It's not working. She has one more treatment on thursday.

Oh crap! Any chance you can call her pdoc and put in a word? I think you are right, even a short term scrip would help. Thinkin and prayin that she gets some relief soon...you both must be exhausted from that amount of anxiety.

Well her last treatment is tomorrow morning, thank you all again for your support.
I can't go in for her treatment and her pdoc is long gone by the time I get there to pick her up. She's doing so well, it's just this crazy anxiety. I had stern words with her yesterday to really push the point home about the post treatment anxiety. It only seems to last a few days but honestly, no one should have to put up with that considering what she's having done. I can ring her pdoc, but he has the right to completely ignore me to the point of saying he's not treating her and doesn't even know who she is and what I'm talking about. It's the law here for the patients protection.
I was down as her emergency contact with one of her T's years ago, she had a major crisis and I rang her T for advise, she abused me and hung up on me and said she had no idea what I was talking about. I'm so glad she doesn't see that T anymore, she was so bad for her and made her worse. I suppose we've all had one of them along the way. This is why I'm so confused.
This pdoc has been fantastic except about this one topic. He just will not budge on it after she finally told him about it. It's almost over.

I think it's the law in the US as well, and Canada. Unless his sister signs a special form, the doctor is not obligated to talk to family. In fact it's opposite ... he is not allowed. He can even deny that she is patient. It's to protect confidentiality.

They would have to ask her who she wants to be call. She may not want to call her "contact" but someone else instead. If she is unable to state who she wants to be called the hospital would call the contact. But that's it. They can't talk about treament, meds, or illness. When I took my last overdose, my brother was called but not given any details as to why I was in the hospital.

Maxime, you're right. 100% correct. If something does go wrong I'll get the 1st call, but it's not reciprocated if I need to ask questions. She has told her pdoc that I am allowed to speak with him if I need to.
Well today she is even better and it's her 1st treatment for ages when she hasn't flipped out in the afternoon after her morning session. She's going to have a few more but only once a week now. So I'm praying she doesn't have an episode over the next few days because if she does, we're getting in a cab and heading straight to the psych hospital so he's forced to address it and medicate her accordingly. Seeing that she has been great today, maybe the anxiety episodes are over. He told her today that it does happen to some people. It's just a waiting game now.

Praying that all continues to go well; both you and your sister are brave and strong to be going through all of this. I know how difficult a decision it is just to start the treatments--and how hard it is to continue through. I'm so happy she is doing so well.

She seems to be doing quite well, her anxiety has dropped off majorly for now and her mood is getting even better. I just don't want that anxiety to come back again. It's just awful to watch someone going through that.
Her memory is pretty good too, it has been effected but it improves rapidly 2 days after her treatment. I'm sure she'll be back to normal in good time
