just wondering how long it takes low dose of lithium to work It is new for me

Hi Cee think it works pretty quickly depending on what its being used for. Bipolar usually works in two weeks or less to stop mania. Don't know what your taking it for. Don't forget the blood levels to test for the levels of lithium. Good luck Phillipa

Weight gain is an issue but should be less of an issue at the lower doses. Also years of high dose lithium 900 mg or higher has been associated with kidney damage. But hopefully at lower doses with plenty of water that shouldn't be an issue.

pdoc has me on 750mg of seroquel which has taken care of my depression but i am still having trouble with anxiety, so he has put me on 150mg
lithium hoping to stop the anxiety . i think he wants me to try 300mg cause after 3 weeks nothing has improved any ideas sorry for my bable not to good at explaining myself

> ceeThere was an ad effect at 150 mg but when I went up to 300 mg I felt some anxiety so I have gone back down to 150 mg.
