Best stims

Has anyone found that longer acting stims helped more with depression than IR version? I'm thinking concerta, adderall XR, or dexedrine spanules. I didn't respond to ritalin IR or wellbutrin, but I could only tolerate 300mg wellbutrin.

Have you considered vyanase? A friend was using it and it worked quite well. Phillipa

I personally like generic adderall IR tabs (2xdaily) more than the xr+ir combination I was on at first. Plus, its cheaper, especially on insurance plans that charge very little for generics.

Supposedly desoxyn (methamphetamine--rarely prescribed) is a good anti-depressant, even though its a 3x daily medication. If xr formulas work better for you, an xr with an ir mid-day booster might work, or maybe vynase or bontril, both of which are pro-drugs (for dexedrine and phenmetrazine, respectively).

Good luck.

Thanks for your input. Maybe I would react differently to IR adderall. I've never tried adderall at all. I found that Wellbutrin SR and ritalin IR didn't help at all. I notice the NRI feeling with pristiq which lasts about 28 hours but not with short acting DNRI stimulants. Maybe its not even related and i'm bored and thinking too much...

But thanks for your input. I will suggest that as an option if the combo I'm on doesn't start helping my focus.
