Wellbutrin and losing weigh

Posted by mrmichael on August 18, 2010, at 7:50:52

I've been on Wellbutrin for 3 months now and it's fantastic. No more depression (also take prozac). After three years, I've finally found the right combo!

BUT: I've lot 30 pounds so far! Believe me this is good news since Zoloft and others helped me GAIN about 40 pounds.

Should I be concerned about the weight loss or this normal for Wellbutrin?

thx

Well first your doc is aware of weight loss right? What does your doc say. I guess if you were overweight it's a good thing underweight another. Are you eating? As you must continue eating. You say the wellbutrin caused the weight loss but not if loss of appetite. Sounds like you are lucky to have found a good combo for you. Phillipa

Congratulations on your remission and the weight loss (if it was needed). I wish I got the "weight loss side effect" from Wellbutrin. I guess I should be happy that I've been at the same weight for years and that I haven't gained since I stopped taking Neurontin.
