Hi,
I wonder if it is a good idea to try adding Buspar to my Zyprexa. My main problems are anxiety and OCD, so perhaps Buspar is worth a try,
I also take valium 2 mg every night, and 0.5 mg ativan as needed.
Buspar might be better than taking ativan.thanks

Buspar isn't a benzo that much I know and from what have read here has different mechanisms of action. Hoping you get lots of responses. Phillipa

Buspirone seems to have some efficacy in generalised anxiety (GAD and similar illnesses). It is not usually effective for obsessive-compulsive disorder, or for other anxiety disorders.
If your diagnosis is GAD and you need something to reduce excessive worrying and help you to cope better with stress, buspirone might be suitable. Buspirone also has a slight antidepressant effect.
