Has anyone here encountered memory problems on either Risperdal or Lamictal? I'm on pretty light doses (1.5 and 175 mg respectively) but I think I might be feeling an effect.
A lot of times I'll be having a conversation and I'll be fully engaged in it, but if you asked me what we talked about I might remember one or two sentences. Also, if you asked me what I did yesterday it'd take me a while to think of it. I'm not sure if this is normal for me or for most people, but it's certainly annoying.
Also, it's hell when I try to read textbooks or technical papers. Today I was reading a paper on Markov decision problems. Three hours later, I'd forgotten what the paper was about. I also read a second paper, and *right after* I read the paper I could barely articulate its content. I'm not sure if I was like this before (I probably wasn't) but it's making me look like an idiot at work.
Thanks for any insights or opinions.

I dont know about Risperdal but Lactimal is notorious for messing up your mind.
Memory problems, speach problems..
I am getting off it but at my peak dose of 400mg I was mixing up words out loud, forgetting simple words in mid sentance and getting stuck, forgetting people names that I had known for years, forgetting how to spell simple words etc...
Also very hard to process anything into long term memory. I was trying to learn to speak spanish and I would learn a word and the next day it would be gone. I would do this for days in a row and still not learn it. One simple word.

>My one and only minor complaint with Lamictal is that I get periods where I'm forgetful with peoples names.
