I had been taking Cymbalta for several months; I was able to wean off fairly quickly w/o any noticeable side effects.
However my total cholesterol a month ago was 176 and now it has spiked at 248. I've read that this is a rare side effect from Cymbalta withdrawal. I'm wondering has anyone else experienced this and how long did it take for things to stabilize.
Thanks in advance.

Actually both have been reported -- increases while taking and also increases due to withdrawal.

I've been taking Cymbalta now for several months, with good effect & I just lowered my dose from 90 to 60, with no negative effect. I have a regular physical w. blood work scheduled a couple of weeks from now -- I'll report back on what I find out.

Hey Chujoe, glad you're still doing well on Cymbalta. Sounds like the rise in Cholesterol is rare.
