nortriptyline wearing off by end of day?

Posted by inanimate peanut on July 20, 2010, at 15:23:55

I definitely think the nortriptyline is starting to work. I cleaned the whole house this morning :-) and had a nice mellow happy feeling for a few minutes yesterday. My problem is that by about 8pm I felt like crap again. Does nortriptyline wear off? Do people take it as a split dose to avoid this?

Peanut that is surely fabulous. Don't know about splitting the dose. And you're sleeping now? Phillipa

Taking TCAs as a single daily dose is now standard practice. Nevertheless....... traditionally, TCAs were given in two or three divided doses. There doesn't seem to be any problem with doing this, except that a single daily dose is more convenient.
