Anyone on this board participate on the Vilazodone clinical studies here? It is suppose to be coming out early next year, and I was wondering if it is truly worth waiting for? The lack of sexual dysfunction and weight gain for the med seem very alluring, and the idea that it may be usefully for anxiety is also intriguing.

They are saying lack of sexual dysfunction? Ha! That is hilarious. Yes, just like Lexapro was supposed to be a new amazing unique SSRI virtually devoid of side effects when it was first coming out and being marketed. And many others as examples.
If vilazodone is, as my brief search read, a SRI and 5-ht1a partial agonist, and has no other significant properties, i would bet my sexual ORgans that it causes sexual dysfunction.
Sorry, just felt that was important. No disrespect to you of course, only the typical original purveyors of this nonsense (almost undoubtedly marketing experts or PR reps for the manufacturer i'd imagine).
May very well be a good antidepressant and/or anxiolytic for some people though.> Anyone on this board participate on the Vilazodone clinical studies here? I was thinking that vilazodone would make a good adjunct for antidepressants rather than a substitute for one. I hope it gets approved. It is just one more tool for the toolbox.

If it is anything like Serzone it may not cause sexual side effects. I worked perfectly normal on it. Only AD that i could function normally on.
