If you start a new ad that previously you could not tolerate and now even with your old add still taking and you feel absolutely noting good or negative no change what so ever what's it mean? Should'nt you have some type of side effect or something? Or does it mean the med won't work? So continue or stop? Phillipa added lexapro to luvox, xanax, valium, and synthroid.

hi Phillipa- Are you saying since you aren't getting s/e from the lexapro you think it will not be effective? I think some people get lucky, no s/e but med can work. Is the Lex replacing luvox? herpills

You should continue. The lack of side effects does not mean that it isn't going to work. Did you say you were on 5mg Lexapro? If so, the next step is to increase Lexapro to 10mg and stop Luvox.

I agree with Ed. I know how hard this must be for you. You should be proud of yourself for trying a new med. Don't give up. Not having side effects doesn't mean it's not going to work. I hope it works for you. Hang in there!

It's too easy that's the problem don't get it? Aren't I supposed to feel something? I think tonight is 5mg and half the luvox as started with 2.5mg. I took cymbalta 60mg for three months zippo, and remeron didn't even make me tired. I don't get it? As used to feel everything????? Phillipa

Doing the crossover is probably making the transition smoother. It sure makes things easier than coming off one and starting another. I've had trials of meds where I didn't feel side effects, yet the med worked, or it could be too early in the med trial for any side effects to real their nasty little heads.
Here's to a smooth transition and a great result!

It *should* be easy with gradual dose titration, which is what you are doing. I would not expect you to 'feel much'. Keep going and try not to think about it too much (easier said than done).
