Hello,
I'm going to take it with Effexor 225 mg and Lamictal. My pdoc will reduce my Lamictal to 100 mg and introduce Trileptal for the treatment of bp II. I have residual cycling, anxiety and anger.
I know Trileptal is not a recognized mood stabilizer. Generally doctors see more Trileptal as an "esoteric" med for bipolar.
Is it worth a try? It would be Trileptal or Seroquel XR... Your take? Thanks.

Neither one of them did me any good but I would still go with the seroquel as it at least has the research behind it-- just my 2 cents

Peanut really I'd think trileptal as it's a mood stabalizer? Phillipa

I guess if it depends if you actually think trileptal is a mood stabilizer at all, which they told me at Stanford that it wasn't. Seroquel can have a stabilizing effect in some cases.

I may be mistaken but didn't you write in another thread that seroquel does nothing? Phillipa

seroquel does nothing for me but put me to sleep. In clinical trials, though, it works for bipolar mania and depression (I just wasn't that lucky...)
