Since MAOI's can cause sexual side effects similar to SSRI's do we need to worry about permanent loss of function, libido??

Wow I'm glad the Internets allow some anonymity as this is a bit embarrassing <grin>.
Since starting Marplan, I've also noticed a return of... interest. Like, wow that person is REALLY hot type interest. My phisiology does work, but it's not as, um, automatic as it was when I was a teenager or early 20s--but that could be because I'm in my late 20s now.
If I were to become sexually active again I'd probably ask for a Cialis RX--that helped me in the past with med-induced ED. (No point if libido is screwed up, which now it isn't!)

Be thankful.. When in your 20's, anything that decreases libido is a big PLUS!!

Don't worry about this one. I have been on Nardil for most of the past 12 years. At high doses it has always caused delay of orgasm or no orgasm. I have been off the medication for periods of months for various reasons. The sexual dysfunction has gone away every time.
At lower doses (for me - 60mg) orgasm is delayed, but not absent.
