OCD anxiety meds

Has anyone tried these meds for OCD/anxiety?

Riluzole(Rilutek)
Memantine(Namenda)

They target glutamate instead of seratonin. I've tried zoloft and a few others but don't like the side effects. Looking forward to hearing about any experiences with either of the 2. thanks

Namenda didn't make a difference for me.

Memantine made a small dent in my OCD. Side effects were insomnia and some anxiety.

Riluzole was a bizarre experience. My OCD calmed down but this relief was traded for panic attacks. It made me a nervous wreck.

Thanks for the input. My doctor suggested xanax, so I'm going to stick with that for now. I've taken it in the past so I know it wont give me side effects or weird reactions. I never had any problems quitting it before, although he prescribed more than I've taken in the past so we will just have to be careful.

Sometimes the older, cheap drugs are most appropriate for certain situations and I trust his judgment.

Memantine works GREAT for my OCD, and i'm also side effect free on it, except some cognitive impairment a few days after raising the dose.
