All, I was just curious if there is some consensus among users as to pregabalin for GAD. I thought I saw some where that it was headed for approval in the US for these symptoms (as it is in Europe). Sounds like people quickly accumulate a tolerance for it?

I used Lyrica as a mood stabilizer and anxiolytic. It worked poorly as a mood stabilizer but was a highly effective anti-anxiety med. I was on it for 3 months at a 600 mg dosage and never experience a tolerance for it.
Try Gabitril too!

I'm augmenting mirtazapine with 25 mg of pregabalin.
This combo is good for sleep.

Thanks everyone for the comments. My PDOC has suggessted giving me a bottle of a few xanax pills for the occasional anxiety flare-up, but I am very afraid of becoming addicted. I have never had a problem with substance abuse in the past, but I went through a week or two of self-medicating with alcohol in the past and that makes me very nervous as I see how quickly and easily you could get trapped into that.
I thought lyrica(pregabalin) sounded interesting, but there seemed to be some reports that people tolerated it very quickly.
This is the end of the thread.
