Sid you pregnant? Back when I was many years ago they didn't know what they do now so still took, benzos, sleeping pills, and drank alchohol. Only with the third though and she was okay. Phillipa

> not pregnant, but need to know
> thankshi. i think most peoples experiences vary a bit. but for me, both pregnancies were SUPER safe. complete med free.
infact even while nursing fantastic. (am still nursing my second now -that's why i havent been here to visit in quite a while).the first time, i actually thought i was "cured" so i caution...exactly two weeks after i stopped nursing i crashed ...and crashed hard!
I Literally cried almost non stop for about three days before my husband drove me to the hospital.this time around i'm not going to be fooled, right after i stop nursing i will start on meds.
********
this second pregnancy, i have had a few bouts of "down days", but Very intermittent, and RARELY lasted even the whole day.i keep telling my T, i wish they could bottle whatever is going on inside my body right now and give it to me in pill form later :)
********
i will also note that for my first pregnancy, the meds i was on, didn't work afterwards...not sure why but they didn't.i'm hoping i dont have that same issue this time, but keep that in mind.
Best Wishes!
oh and ps
i did continue to see my T throughout pregnancies and nursing, cuz she can tell better than me sometimes when stuff is headed downhill.maybe have someone like that around.

Seriously get levels now of all hormones as seems your depression returns when they are down and see what they are and then when done nursing take bioidentical hormones to maintain your current levels. Might just work? Love Phillipa

thanks for the tip P.
Funny how my pdoc has known about this occurrence with me and he's never mentioned something as simple as taking hormone levels...i dont know how many times i've said (i wish i can bottle whats going on inside me while pregnant and nursing).
Even my boss joked one time that we need to keep me pregnant (yikes, but i told him i wouldn't mind nursing forever :)anyway.
thanks, i actually see pdoc next week
