It arrived in a shady envelope. Looks like it went over the atlantic. Anyway I'm thinking of starting tomorrow. Not sure if its wise to start while weening on pristiq, but i don't think pristiq withdrawals are supposed to be as bad as effexor.

hmm i should update my signature, i'm actually weening off it now and have been taking 50 mg every other day for a week. From what I read with the time release capsule it stays in you about 48 hours.

Wow, that was fast. Post about your subjective experiences with it. After I am done with this EMSAM that looks like it's going to fail me, I'm going to order Adrafinil, too.
Are you taking it for the anhedonia?

Well I'm taking it for anhedonia. I don't need it for tiredness or anything. I was gonna wait till i was done with pristiq, but I didn't sleep well last night so i took some in the morning since I knew I would be tired. I can't say it really had any effect. I never got really tired though and I was atleast awake although stayed in bed since 5:00 AM.
I still got tired at night though. I will take it continually in earnest for anhedonia later on. I'm a bit skeptical and not sure why i bought it now, I don't think I'm a dopamine responder. Its effect on NE, is fairly weak, we'll see what I end up doing. I thought maybe if I felt something from the first dose it might be worth continuing but I'm doubting it will do anything for me. I should have tried a drug that works on NE more since I seemed to respond to that better. I guess this drug is a lot less scarier side effects wise compared to other drugs.

Really? I thought Adrafinil had a good effect on NE. Or at least Modafinil is supposed to. According to the Wiki entry: "Modafinil, like other stimulants, increases the release of monoamines, specifically the catecholamines norepinephrine and dopamine, from the synaptic terminals."
Bleauberry and some other posters here said it took them at least 4 weeks of regular use to begin noticing a change in their behavior. It wasn't until after 3 months that they got a robust effect.

Hmm we'll see, I'm still coming off pristiq. My second day without a dose went fine. I took some prozac last night and this morning. No bad withdrawal effects.

Took 300mg this morning. I didn't sleep well. By evening I was tired. Feels like a placebo.
Hopefully for anhedonia the effects add up over time.
I'm kinda skeptical, maybe I'll just see a psych and get a real drug.
Not sure whether adding prozac to it would be good or bad either? BB said it helped him start to have interest in things, but low doses or prozac do that too me. However I'm very sensitive to the negative side effects of SSRIs and wonder if it could blunt any off the effects of adrafinil on dopamine? Maybe it would help to trap the NE and DA released by prozac?
Not sure what to do yet. Think I'm more of an NE responder than a DA...
