Hi Folks,
I am interesting in hearing from any of you what you may have heard about the use of gamma globulin for the treatment of lymes. My son is a 20 year old male who contracted the disease about 8 years ago, but was mis-diagonsed fror about 5 years. he has had oral antibiotic treatments, IV antibiotics etc, all have made him worse than he started. he now suffers from extreme neuro issues/disease, and Gamma Gobulin has been recomended as a next step. We are concerned of the potential side effects, and want to hear any feedback, positive or negative before making a final decission to mov forward. Thanks for the help,
ALC

Hi Phillipa,
They did a nerve conduction study (EMG's) of the extremities and concluded that there were nerve conduction interruptuions. This was also confiemed by biopsies of both legs. They also did a SPEC.

I must now google gamma globulin and lymes. I'm sorry it's a horrible illness and even the docs refuse to believe it exists or misdisnose. Phillipa

Thanks, any help or info is appreciated. Yesterday, he received 2 vitamin injections, both were different types of "B" to hopefully begin to correct defficiencies in both B and the D levels. Evidently, low levels of these contribute to nerve disfunction.
Thanks
